The Lowering of Expectations Continues
Just two days after Sen. Barack Obama became President-elect Obama, I wrote a piece titled, The Lowering of Expectations Begins. In that piece I noted how the liberal extremists who control the media were whining that President-elect Obama was going to have to contend with some tough problems once he took office (though the current President is currently dealing with the same tough problems).
Earlier this week, President-elect Obama was, again, playing to the politics of fear while at the same time preparing the country for under-performance on his part. According to my "news"paper, "Obama told reporters that the deficit will probably hit $1 trillion this year and that 'potentially we've got trillion-dollar deficits for years to come, even with the economic recovery that we are working on.'"
No mention in the Boston Globe/Associate Press article if any of the reporters challenged the President-elect's pessimism. It appears they simply wrote what they were "told".
