ZR: wrong. BHO's Vietnam will be Springfield. As in Illinois. As in Blagojevich. As in dirty Chicago politics. It will dog his only term from the start.

I cannot get over the racist congressional Democrats who are doing everything in their power to keep Burris from being seated. He has been appointed legally and is entitled to serve immediately. It is obvious they hate blacks and are determined to keep the Senate for "whites only".

Anonymouses,

Thanks for the contributions. A one word post and I got two comments; that's the most comment-inducing post ever on a word:comment basis. Maybe I'll try it again sometime.

Anonymous 1 - I completely agree with your citation of Illinois politics. Imagine if President-elect George W. Bush of Texas had a named adviser (Jarret) and his co-chairman of his national campaign (Jackson, Jr.) named in a federal indictment of the Governor of Texas and claimed he knew nothing. Now, we see Burris hosted fund-raising parties for Blagovich? Are you kidding me? Is anyone in the media going to ask any questions? Recall, people continue to smear President Bush because the Swift Boat Veterans and POWS for Truth questioned Sen. John F. Kerry's fitness for office - THERE WAS NO LINK BETWEEN BUSH AND THE SWIFTEES (regrettably). Now we are to believe no one in the Obama "circle" was aware Blagovich was selling the Senate seat. I haven't looked in a while, but did Emanuel resign his House seat yet? It was supposed to happen last Friday but I don't recall reading anything about it - EITHER WAY! If it happened, why didn't we read about it? If it didn't happen, holy crap!, why aren't we reading about it?

Anonymous 2 - Beautiful. You completely get my sarcasm. Let me know how to get you my access userid and password and you can post on the front page. Can you imagine the uproar if Republicans tried to keep Burris on the plantation?

I had some material on the anti-Semitic Europeans that I was going to use in a fresh post but I'll hold off on that if more comments accumulate here.

Glad you get me,too. Someone needs to "call out" the Deomcrats on this because Heaven knows what the outcry would have been if Republicans were behind it.

(Kind of like the shrill hysteria and righteous fervor NOW might have exhibited for the resignation of President George W. Bush if he were actually the one to have had the affair with subordinate Monica Lewinsky rather than Clinton?)

let's not forget the duplicity of the Franken situation. Compare/contrast with Burris...

Then compare/contrast with the obsession that Bush "stole" the 2000 election in Florida, and again in 2004 in Ohio.
