Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D, IL): My New Favorite Democrat
A few days ago I announced Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D, IL) had replaced Sen. John F. (“If you are stupid, you join the US military”) Kerry as my favorite Democrat.
In no particular order, some of the reasons:
1. We now know that based on a U.S. Senate Democratic Caucus letter dated December 10, 2008 imploring Gov. Blagojevich (Democrat, IL) to not name a replacement Senator, that Senate Democrats now consider Sen. Joseph Lieberman (no longer “ID, CT” but now “D, CT”) a Democrat.
2. By Gov. Blagojevich (D, IL) announcing that he’s naming former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris to President-elect Obama’s vacant Senate seat, he’s exposed the liberal extremists who control the media as an entity that, despite the election of Sen. Obama as President, cannot stop noticing skin color. Try reading a news story or watching a news story that doesn’t make note that General Burris is black.
3. Gov. Blagojevich’s attorney is still hoping to introduce President-elect Obama’s “internal report” on the Obama Senate Seat Sale Scandal at the Governor’s impeachment hearings. That is so beautiful. Obama and his cheerleaders in the media would have you believe that Gov. Blagojevich should resign because of conversations he had with Obama’s people where Obama’s people did not do anything “inappropriate”. Are you kidding me? It does not get any better than this if you love politcal lies and political spin. I just hope someone with an honest journalism degree and a mild acquaintance with logic is on the case.
4. President-elect Obama (D, IL) thinks Gov. Blagojevich (D, IL) should resign because he had no “inappropriate” contact with the Obama “inner circle”. Oh, I just wrote that. Oh, well. It is so incredibly funny I needed to write it again.
5. “Will you be the most stupid White House Chief of Staff in history?” is now a plausible question for Rep. Rahm Emanuel given that Emanuel wasn’t “aware” that Gov. Blagojevich (D, IL) was capable of selling Obama’s senate seat.
6. Mr. Jesse Jackson, Jr., Candidate #5 in the Obama Senate Seat Sale Scandal, was President-elect Obama’s National Campaign Co-Chairman. Maybe someone with an honest journalism degree will not forget.
7. Ms. Valerie Jarrett, Candidate #1 in the Obama Senate Seat Sale Scandal, has been named as a counselor to President Obama. Maybe someone with an honest journalism degree will not forget.
