The Army Corps of Engineers and New Orleans

For those that missed it, the Army Corps of Engineers issued a report, which cost close to $20 million to produce, that concluded the faulty design and construction of New Orleans' levee system is primarily to blame for the catastrophic flooding that occurred in the wake of Category 5 Hurricane Katrina striking that city on August 29, 2005. The design and construction of the levee system began during the Johnson Administration.

So, you see, President Bush didn't cause the flooding afterall. Tell all your liberal friends.

Oh, and just as a reminder, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, was in Atlanta, GA on Monday, August 29, 2005 attending a conference on the bird flu. Again, I remind people just so everyone knows exactly how seriously the Bush Administration is taking the bird flu and the possibility of a pandemic.

so the story about bush not providing enough plastic buckets to the residents of NOLA so they could bail out the city is not true?

Anonymous, the story about Bush not providing enough buckets is true; Bush is an idiot and he thought only 1,000 buckets would get the job done and 2,575,525 were needed. New Orleans is 85 feet below sea level and it is NEXT TO THE SEA. For the liberals that simply don't get it: New Orleans is 85 feet below sea level and is NEXT TO THE SEA.

When San Francisco falls into the Pacific Ocean are people really going to be surprised? The city was built almost smack dab over a fault line! God, I hope it doesn't happen before January 20, 2009, that will be Bush's "fault" too. Earth to small villages built beneath snow covered and wind sept mountain tops: sometimes the snow comes crashing down in an avalanche and buries everything in its path. Earth to small villages built beneath snow covered and wind swept mountain tops, over.
