Election Results IV - Lott Ain't No Byrd!

The letter to the Boston Globe needs no set-up:

Editor,

I hope the liberal extremists enjoyed Wasserman's political cartoon from today's newspaper showing Sen. Trent Lott holding a whip and the elephant saying, "Trent - it's minority whip . . . not minorities whip!"

It will always be true that the Democrats regained control of the United States Senate in 2006 because former Ku Klux Klan member, Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV) was re-elected.

This is a fact that is too sobering to be funny.

Democrats should be so proud of their majority and who they should thank for it. (End of letter.)

Again, remind your liberal friends that Democrats regained control of the U.S. Senate of the back of electing a former Ku Klux Klan member and watch their heads explode.

"Politics makes strange bedfellows". the '06 late-term elections are an illustration of that! by the way, I like the term late-term elections. In '06 it's had the same general effect as a late-term abortion...it's taken an otherwise viable body and killed it. I have faith the natural order of things will be restored with new life by '08. I predict the dems 'victory' party is short-lived (enjoy!!). The '08 election will bring new life the old fashion way--good looks (slam dunk candidate pool--guiliani, mccain, romney), hot talk (issues, not hyperbole), and good old fashion passion (hell no to hillary!)!
